Green Apple Dental

Dr. Russ Bird was born in southeastern Idaho and grew up working on farms.  Farming as well as being an all American athlete helped Dr. Bird gain determination and work ethic that would shape his academic and professional life.
Volunteering his time to help others has always been important in Dr. Bird’s life.  During college, Dr. Bird spent two years in Spain helping local communities and donating his time to local churches.  It was his desire to help others that led him into the dental field where he graduated from the UNLV School of Dentistry.
Attracted to Oregon’s safe, health conscious and outdoor environment, Dr. Bird and his wife moved to Oregon to raise their two children.  They are happy to have Portland as their home with its unique blend of natural and metropolitan environments.

Dr. Lemond Hunter is honored and privileged to uphold the morals and ethics of the dental profession.  He aspires daily to provide his patients with the best patient care experience and to help them achieve their oral health care goals.  Dr. Hunter takes great pride in having the opportunity to serve his patients and the community.  When asked what he enjoys most about dentistry, Dr. Hunter replied, “being able to build patient relationships, educate, and positively impact patient’s health.” Dr. Hunter agrees with our Green Apple Dental philosophy of Healthy Living and Healthy Smiles. 
After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from Linfield College, Dr. Hunter went on to receive his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the Oregon Health and Science University.  Dr. Hunter continually strives to further his dental education by being a member of the Multnomah Dental Society, the Oregon Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
Outside of work, Dr. Hunter enjoys cycling, snowboarding, running, hiking, camping, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.  

Dr. George H.T. Kang graduated from the University of North Carolina funded by a scholarship from the United States Navy. During dental school, Dr. Kang attained numerous awards such as, the Dean's List, the UNC Oral Biology Certificate of Excellence, the Caulk Dentistry Research Award and the Turner Research Award. While fulfilling his obligation with the United States Navy and the Veterans Affairs Hospital System, Dr. Kang continued his education with numerous residency programs under board certified specialists. Dr. Kang has striven to learn the newest in dental techniques and technology by attending programs and residencies at the prestigious Bethesda Navy Medical and Dental Institute, the Misch Implant Institute and the Dawson Center for Advanced Dentistry. With his dedication to excellence through a life-long journey of learning, Dr. Kang has been certified to perform most procedures done by dental specialists. His knowledge and skills  create the ultimate continuity of care for his family of patients at Green Apple Dental.
Dr. Kang's practice philosophy starts with the personal relationships that he cultivates with his family of patients. Through this relationship of trust, Dr. Kang creates a foundation for optimal oral health by using the vehicle of education. No patient leaves Green Apple Dental with out knowing what their needs are, how these objectives will be attained, and how much these services will cost. Through his vast experience with research, residencies and rotations, Dr. Kang is able to provide the comprehensive dental care that you deserve.

Dr. Rachel Cole graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona in Molecular and Cellular Biology with Honors.  While in college, Dr. Cole was nominated by her faculty to participate in the Esthetics Selective, an honor reserved for the top clinically achieving students.  She also was selected to the prestigious Newport Harbor Academy of Dentistry, volunteers in Doctors Out to Care, and Give Hope a Hand Programs, getting dental care to those in need.  Dr. Cole loves making people feel good about their oral health and smile.  She lives in Lake Oswego with her husband and two children.

Dr Aaron Marks received his dental training right here in Portland, at Oregon Heath & Science University. He strives each day to work for each of his patients and provide the best service and follow his goal of going the extra mile for each person he serves. He is adamant about staying up to date with the latest dental technologies and trends, while never departing from dentistry's core principles. Dr Marks developed his hand skills at a young age with woodworking and model building. He grew up in Hawaii and Arizona, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Chemistry with honors, from Northern Arizona University. Dr Marks and his wife of 6 years are happy to call Portland home, with its health conscience culture and environmentally friendly state of mind. They enjoy movies, the outdoors and historical reenacting of the late 18th century.

Dr. Kim was born in Busan, South Korea and came to the states at the age of 6. Since then, he has made Portland his home.  Hard work and dedication has led Dr. Kim to be a prime example of the “American Dream”.  This hard work and dedication can also be seen in his commitment to providing quality and comprehensive dental care for all of his patients.  A product of the Oregon education system, Dr. Kim attended Portland State University prior to attending Oregon Health and Science University, where he attained his DMD.  At Portland State, Dr. Kim received his Bachelors in Science with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry and Business.  Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kim enjoys all that the great northwest has to offer such as snowboarding, camping, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.  “I feel privileged to serve the community and will strive to provide the best care possible.”

Dr. Kai H. Hahn graduated with distinction from Temple University Kronburg School of Dentistry.  For Dr. Hahn, the apple truly does not fall far from the tree.  Coming from a family of dentists, it was at an early age that he decided to also dedicate his life to this profession.
Dr. Hahn has embraced the mantra of the life-long student and adheres to the principles of the Hippocratic Oath.  Over the years he has continually sought out the most respected peer reviewed continued education courses and is relentless in building and honing his skills.  His passion for dentistry and his family of patients is evident in how he interacts with them.  Listening carefully, he makes sure his patients are treated the way they want to be treated. Dr Hahn offers the best options and counsel, so that they can make informed and educated decisions about their own dental needs.
Having grown up in Germany, Portland is a natural fit for Dr. Hahn.  He was drawn to Portland by the variety, lively and friendly atmosphere.  Dr. Hahn is proud to call Portland his home and is growing more roots on a daily basis.  On a sunny day, you might catch him at the park, playing soccer with his two boys, or gardening.
